The Silver Panda was first released in 1982 and has been building in popularity every year since. In fact the China Mint's Panda series is now among the most popular collector coins on the planet.
To mark the 40th Anniversary of the series in 2022, China is adding a special “40” privy mark to the coins that superimposes a tiny panda face inside the numeral for a unique mark that sets this year’s coins apart from all other years!
One of the things that makes the Panda series special is that each year features a new unique Panda design. The 2022 Panda coin features a pair of playful young Panda cubs gleefully sliding down a snowy hill. The privy mark appears to the left side of the design between the two cubs. This is a large 40 millimeter coin struck with 30 grams of .999 pure Silver.
There are only 1982 of these First strike coins available, all certified by ANACS in the perfect grade of Mint State 70.
These are absolutely the best of the best! Because of the historic significance of the 40th anniversary and the small edition there is an absolute limit of 10 coins per collector. Astute collectors are taking the limit
