1918 "Green Eagle" Federal Reserve Bank Note, Fine
The 1918 Note was issued by 12 different Federal Reserve banks which means each bank had its own cashier and governor sign the note. Many are not aware that their are 39 different signature combinations. Each note features the same artwork. George Washington on the left hand side, blue serial numbers and the blue seal on the right. The 1918 "Green Eagle" is the first and last large size one dollar note issued as part of the Federal Reserve System.
