As you may know, the early years of Mint Sets were referred to as “Double Mint Sets “ because the contained two of each coin issued by The Philadelphia Mint, The San Francisco Mint and The Denver Mint. These sets were issued from 1947 to 1958, after that The Mint switched to the modern sealed cellophane presentation as we know it today.
You have the unique opportunity to own these historic sets from 1954 certified by OSV as authentic and original and graded by ANACS. The real key is the OSV certification. That means your set is “Original Set Verified” certifying that the set contains all the original coins issued by the U.S. Mint. The coins from each Mint are sonically sealed into a tamper proof ANACS slab and certified with a composite grade of all the coins in that slab. (grades will vary from a composite of 63 to 65) You will also receive the original mint set display boards issued by the mint.
