Details

On November first the workers at Ground Zero in New York reached the Iron Mountain Vaults. These vaults contained millions of dollars worth of Silver, Gold and Platinum coins from around the world. The coins were loaded into Brinks Armored vehicles and sent directly to Collectors Universe, the parent company of (PCGS) Professional Coin Grading Service. They were graded and encapsulated by PCGS along with a specially designed commemorative United States Flag insert that identifies the coin as a genuine artifact recovered from Ground Zero at the World Trade Center.

A portion of the proceeds for these coins will go to the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) Widows and Children’s Fund.
